Background

I am interested in the aspects of cognition that define us as human, particularly the evolution of language, social cognition, and mechanisms of inference. My work uses a range of empirical methods to explore inference, and its interaction with linguistic processing, in evolutionary, psycholinguistic, comparative, and cognitive scientific terms.

I am currently course convenor and lecturer for SEL8500 Research Methods (postgraduate), SEL1008 Nature of Language (undergraduate), and SEL1028 Morphology and Meaning (undergraduate) where I will be delivering the Semantics and Pragmatics stream. I am also lecturing for SEL2211 Contexts: Mind, Cognition and Computation. You can see more on my personal website here.
