My name is Charlie Thorpe, I come from a small city called Ripon in North Yorkshire. As part of my Psychology degree at Newcastle University I have taken a professional placement year at the CfLaT in order to gain brilliant opportunities to help them in many of their research projects locally, nationally and internationally. Already I feel like an involved member of the friendly, insightful team. Academically I am interested in Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology and innovative methods for learning.
Personally, I have an avid interest in teaching, film, media, music and technology. I enjoy travelling to new places, exploring them and visiting great eateries along the way with my loved ones and friends. I am a people person through-and-through and am greatly looking forward to leaving my mark on the research projects that I undertake alongside my colleagues.
