It was aimed at keeping teachers and schools in touch with pedagogical innovations. 10 issues a year were published.

Many schools have teaching and learning co-ordinators and teaching and learning groups. They are tasked with:

• keeping ahead of developments
• facilitating innovation
• conducting enquiry and evaluation into teaching and learning 

This update provided a resource for these individuals.
