At the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II we give thanks for her long life and how throughout her long reign she has held fast to her commitment upon her Coronation to serve God and her people with all her heart
Loving God, giver of life, all that we are and hold has been on trust from you. What you have given to us we return to you.
Receive our Queen Elizabeth into your eternal presence where you are the light and joy of all your children.
Make death the gateway to life. Give us grace to let go of those things to which we must no longer cling and help us all to release each other to know ourselves held by you.
Go forth Your Majesty on your journey from this world in the love of God the Father who created you, in the mercy of Jesus who died for you, and in the power of the Holy Spirit who keeps you in life eternal.
May you dwell this day in peace and rest in the presence of God.
Our prayers are with the Queen’s family at this time.

Almighty God, we pray that your servant Elizabeth, who by your grace received the government of this realm, and who dedicated her entire life to the service of her people, may now rest in her labours in the peace of Christ. Bless our country as we mourn her passing and take inspiration from her life.
We pray for His majesty King Charles III as he assumes his new office, even as he mourns his mother. God Save the King.
