Stage 1

Find out about Music modules for Stage 1.

Students study either 40 or 60 credits from the list below in Stage 1.

Students should select Stage 1 modules carefully in light of pre-requisites for Stage 2 and 3 modules.

 *The choice between MUS1001 and MUS1004 depends upon prior learning experiences with notated music theory (for example, do you already have the ABRSM G5 Theory certificate, and if so you would take MUS1004).

 

You must take two 10 credit modules from the list below, but cannot take MUS1002 if you have taken MUS1004 during Semester 1.
