Choose English Literature for your Combined Honours degree and experience a selection of writings from the Renaissance to the Modern Age.

In English Literature you'll have the chance to study a selection of writing from the Renaissance to the Modern Age, with the study of film.

During your studies, emphasis is placed on the development of critical and writing skills.

You can also get involved with other like-minded English Literature students for social activities in the English Society.

You can get creative and attend workshops, writing activities and more with the Creative Writing Society.

This is offered by the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics.


Grade A or B in English Literature at A-Level is normally required to study English Literature.
