Latest appointment for Newcastle academic

Dr Rajiv Ranjan has been selected as Associate Editor for a leading Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) journal.

The ACM Transactions on Internet of Things journal has appointed Dr Rajiv Ranjan as an Associate Editor. This appointment is largely due to his international research excellence in the Internet of Things (IoT). The appointment also aligns with his recent promotion to Chair in IoT at Newcastle University.

ACM Transactions on Internet of Things (TIOT) publishes novel research contributions and experience reports in several research domains whose synergy and interrelations enable the IoT vision. TIOT focuses on:

  • system designs
  • end-to-end architectures, and enabling technologies
  • publishing results and insights corroborated by a strong experimental component

Ranjan already serves on the editorial boards of various top quality international journals including:

  • IEEE Transactions on Computers
  • IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing
  • IEEE Cloud Computing
  • Future Generation Computer Systems

Speaking about his most recent appointment, Ranjan said: "I am really excited to be given this opportunity by the peak body in computing science research - ACM.

"I look forward to working with other editorial board members and Co-EICs to develop a vision for the research community to guide future research in the Internet of Things (IoT)."
