Industrial conversion PhD studentship in Computer Science on developing train advisory systems of the future

This 3.5-year project is jointly supported by EPSRC UK and Siemens Rail Automation. It aims at developing advanced computer science techniques for analysing real-time safety, capacity and energy consumption in train advisory systems.

The study is conducted at the School of Computing at Newcastle University in close cooperation with engineers from Siemens Rail Automation. This work is part of the Dependability Group's research in railway modelling area. The work builds on the results of the EPSRC/RSSB SafeCap and EPSRC SafeCap Impact projects.
