Parents and Guests

Whether you’ve visited our University before, or if this will be the first time you’ve been on our campus, we hope you'll have a thoroughly enjoyable day at Congregation.

This year’s Summer Congregations take place between 9 - 20 July in the King’s Hall, Armstrong Building, Newcastle University.

Here is some key information to help you plan your trip to Newcastle and your time on campus. We look forward to welcoming you.

Ceremony schedule

Newcastle University’s small and intimate ceremonies are unique.

The schedule for the July 2018 Ceremonies will be released in February.

Overview of the day

Candidates need to be on campus at least 1.5 hours before the ceremony start time. The first stop of the day will be to collect tickets from The Boiler House, King's Road.

The ceremony venue, Armstrong Building, will open for graduates 30 minutes before the ceremony start time and guests will be seated 15 minutes before the ceremony start time.
