Success for MSc Orthodontic Students
Our most recent and final cohort of MSc in Orthodontics have been celebrating national success.
All of our students were successful in their final examinations, both internally and then in their external Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Two students (Richard Leck and Will Maguire) completed their success with double membership of the Edinburgh and London colleges!
MSc Graduate Richard Leck won the William Houston Medal 2021/2022 for the most meritorious performance in the Membership in Orthodontics Examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the UK during 2021/2022. Additionally, Richard’s MSc research was published and well-received before he graduated.
At the recent British Orthodontic Society conference, MSc Graduate Nathan Nagar celebrated success for winning an award for the best cases submitted for scrutiny at the recent British Orthodontic Society conference. Nathan worked at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and the cases he presented were completed with the clinical team there.
Additionally, two of our students (Nathan Nagar and Nicky Wade) were selected to present their MSc research at the prestigious UTG research session.
MSc Orthodontic DPD, Dr Sarah Rolland said “We are all sad that due to national changes in the orthodontic curriculum, we are no longer able to offer the MSc in Orthodontics. However, I couldn’t be more proud of our ‘final cohort’ who have all excelled, achieving recognition and prestigious awards at national level.”
Huge congratulations to Richard, Nathan and all of the MSc Ortho Class of 2022!
