Research Project

Queer Ruralities in the Late Twentieth-Century American Novel

My research maps an archive of late twentieth-century American fictions that challenge a dominant cultural narrative mandating that queer subjects migrate out from rural spaces and toward urban centres in order to enact queer desire.
