Skills Sessions

Skills Sessions

Organising a skills session or running mock interviews is a great opportunity to engage directly with our students and raise your profile on campus. Our skills sessions run during October to November and February to March.

Over 1,000 students engaged with our skills sessions and employer presentations programme in 2018-19.

The aim of our skills sessions is to offer support and guidance workshops on a range of employability skills, and help to prepare students for the world of work.

They differ from a recruitment presentation as the content shouldn't be recruitment driven, but generic enough for students from any discipline to attend.

Examples of 2018/19 sessions included:

  • assessment centre skills
  • effective team building
  • interview skills
  • personal branding
