University Defence Research Collaboration

The University Defence Research Collaboration (UDRC) is the most prestigious signal processing activity in the UK.

It looks to develop research in signal processing with application to the defence industry and is funded by the DSTL and EPSRC.

The collaboration is split between two consortia:

  • Edinburgh Consortium
  • LSSCN Consortium

As part of the LSSCN consortium, our we collaborate with:

  • Loughborough University
  • University of Surrey
  • University of Strathclyde
  • Cardiff University
  • Newcastle University

The UDRC looks to develop leading research in signal processing with application to the defence industry. The group looks to share knowledge, promote communications, guidance and training.

It also looks to bring researchers from across the different aspects of signal processing together and to address the research challenges of operating in a networked battlespace.

This collaboration will support cutting-edge signal and data processing capability in the UK which leads to potentially greater research impact.
