Ship Hydrodynamics

Currently applied hydrodynamic analysis methods are insufficient to fully describe current and new offshore structures that are facing extreme environments (such as deeper waters or arctic conditions). A new methodology focused on the offshore industry, specifying the appropriate procedure and software development for a complete hydrodynamics study of marine structures will be developed in this project. Producing a fully integrated non-linear CFD method to evaluate green water loads on FPSO and air gaps on semi-submersibles to fully analyse these complex hydrodynamic phenomena.
