Materials, Concepts, and Reaction Engineering

About Us

We deliver innovative solutions to the technological challenges facing mankind. We are at the cutting edge of developments in concepts, materials, devices, and chemical engineering.

Our research interests lie in bridging the gap between material science and chemical and electrochemical reaction engineering. We:

  • study connections between structural and compositional properties of materials and their physico-chemical properties
  • discover, design and optimise materials for end applications

Applications include, but are not limited to:

  • catalysis
  • emissions control
  • energy conversion and storage

These are all areas are of national and international strategic importance.

We excel at characterisation, with several cutting-edge techniques at our disposal.
