Dr Chenyang Tang

Research Associate

Background

Chenyang Tang obtained his BEng degree in 2015 from both University of Birmingham (First Class) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology from the department of Chemical Engineering. He then moved to Newcastle University and started his PhD under the supervision of Professor Ian S. Metcalfe. During his PhD study, he mainly worked on design, fabrication, and testing of catalytic materials of metal nanoparticles for gas phase reactions, and he received the degree in 2020.

After PhD graduation, Chenyang continued to work in the same group at Newcastle as a post-doctoral Research Associate. His current research focuses on material development for applications such as catalysis and chemical looping processes.
