Staff Profile

Dr Nabila Ahmed Rufa'I completed her Master's (2013) and PhD (2019) from the University of Leeds, UK specialising in modelling and advanced control of low carbon distributed energy sources. 

She is a reviewer for the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics (JESTPE) and a Special Issue Editor for MDPI's Sustainability in Operations Management. 

She is currently a member of internationally recognised organisations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, Senior Member), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Energy Institute (EI) and the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET).

She joined the National Center for Energy System Integration (CESI) in 2021 and is currently working on developing co-evolution cycles for the North of Tyne and the UK.
