Dr Xiang Shen

Background

Xiang Shen received the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 from Queen Mary University of London in the UK. He received the MEng degree in Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in China. He was a visiting scholar at Tohoku University in Japan in 2008 and 2009.  

As a Research Associate he joined the Electrical Power research group at Newcastle University to conduct multidisciplinary researches on advanced cooling technology and thermal management on electrical machines, with expertise in aerodynamic and thermal analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation, conjugate heat transfer analysis, wind tunnel experiments and optimal design.for performance improvement.
