Staff Profile

Dr Yilin Gui

Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering

Background

Dr Yilin Gui joined the Geotechnical and Structure group (GEST) in the School of Engineering in 2017. He is the Peer Mentor Coordinator for Civil Engineering Program in Newcastle University. His research interests are focused on rock and soil mechanics, computational and constitutive modelling of geomaterials and Geoenvironmental Engineering and other related areas. His current research projects include THM in rock mechanics, environmental impact on soil structures and application of computation methods in Geotechnics. He welcomes PhD candidates who are interested in his research.
