Project description

I am working on Islanded DC microgrid design and modelling for use in rural areas where grid extension is completely impossible. We are looking at non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter topology. This is suitable for high power applications. We will parallel these converters to provide reliability and redundancy in case of failure. Proportional power sharing and SOC balancing are thus key to system performance.

Interests

DC converter control design, power electronics, FGPA (field-programmable gate array) design, control engineering.
