Project description

I am using a two-stage steam gasifier to produce hydrogen-rich gas from waste such as refuse derived fuel (RDF).

  1. The first stage is a pyrolysis zone. The heating rate is set to 20°C/min. The final temperature target in this zone is 600°C-900°C.
  2. The second stage is a gasification zone with varying temperatures at 900°C, 1000°C and 1100°C.

I am using two types of carrier gas with 100 cm3/min (N2 and CO2).

I am conducting product analysis to optimise the process operation.

Interests
