Holmes Memorial Lectures for 10- to 14-year olds: Here are the Women in STEM

Date/Time: Wednesday 20 January 2021

The Holmes Memorial Lectures were founded in 1937 as a memorial to Newcastle born John H Holmes (1857-1935), one of the great pioneers of the development of electrical engineering. The lectures are designed for 10- to 14-year-olds with the intention of fostering an interest in science.

The theme of this year's Holmes Memorial Lectures is 'Women in STEM'. Join us on Wednesday 20 January for Part Two:

Here are the Women in STEM

An opportunity to hear from an inspirational group of women working in various STEM fields. Hear their stories of how they became scientists and engineers.

This lecture will be available to watch on YouTube from 9.00am on Wednesday 20 January, and will remain in our archive.
