Adlais seeks to explore the visual and sonic potential of our landscape and heritage through exploring the echoes of now abandoned Dorothea and Pen-Yr-Orsedd Slate Quarries industrial past. Creating a juxtaposition between past and present, provoking reflections and posing questions about the past and its resonance to the present.

So far screenings have been made in Wales and England and the project also features on the Llechi Cymru website. Adlais was also mentioned in a recent Sight and Sound article discussing landscape documentaries and their emergence as a mode of artistic dissent.
