Access to world-class facilities support our teaching and research.

While Phase 2 of the refurbishments of the new home for Geography Politics and Sociology is being completed, the School is situated across the Newcastle University Campus.

You can the School Office, Politics and Geography in the Henry Daysh Building. While Sociology is based in Windsor Terrace.

From September 2021, the School of Geography, Politics, and Sociology will be based in the newly refurbished Henry Daysh Building. Here staff and students will have access to:

  • three lecture theatres
  • two computer clusters
  • learning lab space
  • a range of seminar rooms
  • a number of study and social spaces for students
  • a café area
