Studying at Newcastle

The most positibe aspect of studying Politics at Newcastle was the broad range of subject matter addressed that fed my intellectual curiosity and allowed me to see politics and indeed the world from a multitude of angles.

The course provided me with the foundations that I rely upon to this day in my working life; an intellectual curiosity about politics and policy in all its forms and the ability to ask the right question. The friends I made at Newcastle and the guidance I received from academic staff remain with me to this day.

Tony Zito was a bedrock of my time at Newcastle. He’s what you would hope for in a member of staff; a font of knowledge and insights on his area of expertise combined with a true sense of pastoral care for the young impressionable students under his tutelage.
