Background

I was awarded my PhD in Environmental Ethics in 2016 from the University of Sheffield, where I also took my MA in Globalisation and Development (2012) and my undergraduate degree in Philosophy (2008). I was awarded the Animal Ethics Essay writing prize in 2015 and have presented my work both at conferences and public engagement events.

Before returning to academia to do my MA, I worked for 3 years as an English language teacher in the UK and in Ecuador.

Through the 2018/19 academic year I will be running a project funded by the GPS school titled: Teaching Political Theory: Producing a Student Guide to Writing Essays.

Teaching

I am currently the teaching assistant on the following modules:

Stage 1: Foundations of Modern Political Thought

Stage 2: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

I also run the stage 3 module: Animal and Environmental Ethics.

I supervise both undergraduate and MA dissertations in the area of ethics (broadly defined).
