Staff Profile

I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Living Deltas Research Hub based in GPS. This project focuses on Asian-mega delta systems namely, the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna (India-Bangladesh), the Mekong and the Red river (Vietnam).

My current role includes ground-truthing of remotely sensed data and assessment of delta ecosystem services. This includes producing land-use classifications overtime for these delta systems and participatory-GIS for delta community and policy maker engagement. Further, I am actively contributing to development of a novel Living Delta Index that aims to help the decision makers to assess the health of delta systems.

I am interested in research on river channel morphology and dynamics, river ecosystem and functioning and ecosystem services provided by river systems
