German History Society Annual Conference 8-10 September 2016

The annual conference of the German history society will be hosted by Newcastle University this year. The conference brings together scholars from Britain, Europe and overseas working on all aspects of German (and Austrian) history from the Middle ages to the present, and is one of the biggest events of its kind. The programme starts on the evening of Thursday 8 September with a keynote lecture from Gadi Algazi of Tel Aviv University followed by a wine reception. Parallel panels will run all day Friday and Saturday morning. The programme and joining details can be found at http://www.germanhistorysociety.org/conference/

All sessions, including keynote lectures and the reception will be taking place in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology in the Armstrong Building https://www.ncl.ac.uk/who-we-are/contact/maps/ (map reference 22).

All are welcome. There is no registration fee, but non-members will be invited to join the society (£25 per year and £8 for postgraduates).
