Puncturing the Powerful, James England explores Greek anti-austerity protests in light of past events

In an article recently published in History Today James England, a former undergraduate History student at Newcastle University, explores how the Greek people have risen up to fight against recent austerity measures using techniques and innovations from past struggles. James explains how, ‘Greek protestors have turned to history to find solidarity and connect with past eras of strife, and to attack those at the top whom they blame for their plight’.
