School of History, Classics and Archaeology's Dr Eric Tourigny has examined the graves at pet cemeteries in Newcastle and London over 100 year timeframe—starting with the opening of the first public pet cemetery in 1881.  His research suggests that relationships between pet owners and their pets might have been stronger than first thought...
