The IIB hosted participation from over 30 leading energy businesses and stakeholder groups in round table discussions on the challenges and opportunities provided from the whole systems approach to energy systems integration.

The ISAB meeting was attended by a prestigious contingent from twenty international energy institutes of research from ten countries. The members all provided their thoughts on the current ‘state of the art’ research in the energy systems integration.

The event also hosted the Centre’s Operational Committee with the academic partners presenting the scope of their research plans for the Centre. And finally, on the final day of the event, the first CESI Bootcamp was held with contributions from a range of multi-disciplinary and multi-vector specialists within the Centre’s diverse consortium. This provided a very useful introduction to the strengths of this exciting multi-disciplinary team.

As part of the CESI Launch event, the Research work package leaders presented introductions to the Industrial Innovation Board. They introduced the aim and scope of their work; the methods, tools and datasets that will inform this work; what their work package will deliver; how they will interface with the other research work packages and well as providing an interim resource and recruitment plan.
