CURDS' staff contribute to the editorship off a wide variety of flagship international academic journals and books series.

A team from CURDS – including Mike Coombes, Andy Gillespie, Neill Marshall and Andy Pike – edited Regional Studies from 2005-2008.
The CURDS team guided the journal to its highest citation impact performance of 1.797 in 2007. This raised it up the journal rankings – from 18th to 13th in Geography and 13th to 5th in Environmental Studies.
This was the first time the journal had returned to an editorial team following John Goddard and Tony Champion editing it from 1979 to 1984.
