Police registration is no longer a requirement of a UK visa

 The requirement to register with the police as a condition of a UK visa has been abolished as of the 1 August 2022.

If you are a new student and have not registered with the police, but your visa states that you need to register with the police, then you no longer need to do this.

If you are an existing student with a police registration certificate, you do not need to do anything further. This means that you do not need to contact the police to update your registration certificate with your new visa, new address, change of circumstances etc.
