Our support is available while you are studying and up to 3 years after you have graduated.

Computing and IT
Computing and ITAs a student at Newcastle you will receive a login, email account and filestore on the University's IT network. You will have access to over 1,400 networked PCs and there is free Wi-Fi available across campus.

Students cannot pay their tuition or accommodation fees in person.

Confidential support is available to students with personal problems or emotional and mental health difficulties affecting their work and general wellbeing. We can support you through:

Disability and specialist learning support
Advice, information and guidance is available to students with a disability, long-term medical condition or specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia or Asperger’s syndrome.

Language Resource Centre
Language Resource CentreAt the Language Resource Centre you can access self-study resources in 150 languages and in a range of formats.
Library
LibraryThe University Library Service offers over one million books and a fantastic collection of digital materials including one of the largest collections of e-books in the country. You will have 24 hour access to the Robinson Library during term time. Over 2,000 study spaces are available in a range of environments:

- social study spaces

Sport and active wellbeing
Sport and active wellbeingImmerse yourself in our inclusive sporting community! Represent Team Newcastle by joining one of our 60+ student-led sport clubs. Keep active by taking part in our 50+ group fitness classes and visiting our high-tech gym. Try something new through our Give It A Go sessions and get involved in our popular Intramural Sport programme. Want to just play with friends? Make a casual booking for social sport across our facilities.

Study abroad and exchange programmes
Study abroad and exchange programmesWe offer advice and guidance to incoming exchange, study abroad and Erasmus students, as well as to Newcastle students wishing to participate in an exchange programme.
We support incoming students with issues involving your study period at Newcastle and signing documentation.
We support outgoing students with application advice and relevant documentation.

Visa support
Visa supportWe offer advice and support on immigration issues to all international students registered at Newcastle University. We offer both individual appointments and drop-in sessions. We also offer some workshops.
Help is available in the following areas:
- student visas guidance and renewal

- submission of visa applications through the ‘Student Batch Scheme’
- immigration rules for working while studying
