Background

Tony Rostron is an academic in critical care medicine in the Institute of Cellular Medicine. As a practising clinician, he is an honorary consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at City Hospitals Sunderland.

His research interest is understanding the innate immune response to critical illness. Tony qualified in medicine from the University of Cambridge. He initially embarked upon surgical training in the north east before training in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine.
