Senior Research Associate

Background

My research is focused on addressing the shortage of organs suitable for treatment of end-stage organ failure and improving transplantation outcomes. To this end, we are looking at a variety of preservation and normothermic perfusion platforms and evaluating how to incorporate a variety of regenerative medicine technologies to repair acute damage associated with death and the organ retrieval process. I collaborate with computer scientists and clinical engineers to develop novel devices and automate key processes relevant to these goals. I am also collaborating with materials scientists and manufacturing experts towards the generation of functional organoid/organ replacements to treat end-stage organ failure.
