Research

I am a NIHR Clinical lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

My interest is in translational research within the upper aerodigestive tract, with a focus on the prevention and treatment of airway infection/inflammation in children and adults.


As part of this research I have experience in upper airway cell culture, mucin biology, neutrophil biology, bacterial mucosal interaction, microbiome assessment and the running of clinical studies.

Teaching

I have a Certificate in Clinical Education from the Association for Medical Education in Europe. I have delivered numerous teaching sessions and lectures to medical students and postgraduates on Otolaryngology topics. I have also co-supervised a number of students in the laboratory setting.
