Background

I work as a Research Associate at Daniel Rico's laboratory on computational epigenomics.

I am a bionformatician with a background in physics and biophysics, passionate about extracting knowledge from otherwise unintelligible data. Within this personal context, I have worked during my PhD at Jesús Vázquez's proteomics laboratory at CNIC, developing the basis of statistical models applied to the identification, quantification and systems biology of proteomics experiments, and creating the software to put this into practice.

Now, at Daniel Rico's laboratory at the Institute of Cellular Medicine in the University of Newcastle, I am working in developing strategies to understand the role of sex in the immune response, using bioinformatic techniques to analyse the epigenomic states of chromatin.
