Background

Introduction

I am a clinical physiologist whose research interests and expertise include the development and evaluation of physical activity/exercise interventions targeting healthy and clinical populations including Type 2 Diabetes and Heart Failure. My research role also involves exploring patient experiences in management of their conditions and identifying ways to successfully translate lifestyle interventions into clinical and non-clinical settings. To this end, I carry out in depth research with patient groups to develop, deliver and evaluate wellness programmes that help patients and healthcare professionals optimise management of chronic conditions.
