I am a Research Associate working in the field of immunology within the Musculoskeletal Research Group. 

I am also currently the Newcastle University Representative for Immunology North East, a regional group of the British Society for Immunology.


Current research projects:

  • Exploring PIM1 as a measurable therapeutic target in early rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Refining a Predictive Biomarker for Effective JAK-STAT Inhibition in Rheumatoid Arthritis.
  • Investigating serum extracellular vesicle microRNA as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in early rheumatoid arthritis.
Previous research projects:
  • Investigating the potential utility of a flow cytometric therapeutic response biomarker for clinical application in Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients undergoing IL-6 blockade.
  • The regulation of dendritic cell maturation and survival by TNF receptors 1 and 2.
