Public Engagement

Through the Institute of Genetic Medicine (IGM) Public Engagement Committee, we hope to give the public a feel for some of the exciting research that is going on in the IGM.

The exhibitions and events we host throughout the year are a great opportunity to find out about the cutting-edge scientific and clinical research here at the IGM.

We are always keen to engage young people in the Institute’s research, and run a work experience scheme, regular STEM events with the local schools as well as Open Days and hands on research events for A-level students.

We want to promote involvement of the public in some of the exciting research that we're doing and let the public know about the valuable research we're conducting.

To become a member or collaborator, or to organise an event with us, please email us at IGMengagement@ncl.ac.uk.

We try to let the public know about the valuable research we're conducting.
