The exhibitions and events we host throughout the year are a great opportunity to find out about the cutting-edge scientific and clinical research here at the IGM.
We are always keen to engage young people in the Institute’s research, and run a work experience scheme, regular STEM events with the local schools as well as Open Days and hands on research events for A-level students.
We want to promote involvement of the public in some of the exciting research that we're doing and let the public know about the valuable research we're conducting.
To become a member or collaborator, or to organise an event with us, please email us at IGMengagement@ncl.ac.uk.
The IGM offers a limited number of work experience placements. These are for students over the age of 16 interested in our field of research. Please refer to our research pages to discover more about our areas of expertise.
If you wish to apply, complete the application form, detailing your interests.
You will also need to provide a copy of your CV. You'll need a reference from your school, college or university. Due to health and safety, we cannot offer hands-on research to school students aged under 18.
