IHS hosts the NIHR Research Design Service North East, directed by Prof Helen Hancock and Prof Luke Vale. Prof Hancock also co-directs the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit, part of the Faculty's infrastructure, reflecting IHS’ expertise and input to clinical trials methodologies, especially in biostatistics, health economics, and behavioural science.
