Survival after relapse from neuroblastoma

Survival after relapse from neuroblastoma

Funded by Action Medical Research / Great Ormond Street Hospital, Cancer Research UK, and NECCR, this is a collaborative project between IHS and the Northern Institute for Cancer Research.

Despite progress in understanding the genetics of neuroblastoma and advances in therapy, survival from high risk disease is poor. Knowledge of factors that influence subsequent response and length of survival following relapse in neuroblastoma is important so as to determine which, if any, treatment at relapse is appropriate in individual cases, and may significantly affect the results obtained when evaluating new therapies for neuroblastoma in clinical trials.
