Background

ESRC NEDTC funded full time PhD student.

My PhD is exploring the lived experiences of people with Parkinson's disease in Kenya in relation to diagnosis, treatment and care. 

I studied Biomedical Sciences (BSc Hons) undergraduate at Newcastle University and then went on to do a Masters in Public Health (Global Health) at Newcastle University. As part of my ESRC funding I did a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Training Methods within the HASS faculty. I completed a distance learning short course 'Ageing in Africa: Research and Policy' at Southampton University.

My research interests are in global health, ageing in Africa and the lived experiences of chronic illness in Africa.
