Current Role and Responsibilities

Senior Research Administrator for the Policy Research Unit: Older People and Frailty.


Since joining Newcastle University in 2012, Anosua has worked in a variety of interesting and engaging roles. Initially working as Project Secretary in the Decision Making and Organisation of Care theme, Anosua went on to a secondment as PA in the Public Health Improvement theme of IHS before beginning the role of PA in the IHS Life-Course, Development and Ageing theme. Her second secondment was as Programme Manager for the SEED (Supporting Excellence in End of Life Care in Dementia) Programme (Sept 2014 - July 2015). In July 2016, Anosua was seconded to the Medical Sciences Faculty Office to take on the role of Committees Administrator. After returning to IHS in January 2017, Anosua continued in her substantive PA role before transitioning to the Research Administrator role in the NIHR Research Design Service North East & North Cumbria in September 2017. In March 2019, Anosua moved to the role of Senior Research Administrator working for the Policy Research Unit: Older People and Frailty group based at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality (CAV).

Before joining Newcastle University, Anosua spent three exciting years living in Kolkata, India, where she taught English and also designed and delivered a preparation course for the IELTS exam. She previously worked at London South Bank University as Research Group Secretary in the Families & Social Capital ESRC Research Group. While working full-time at London South Bank, Anosua completed a part-time MA in Media Writing.
