Staff Profile

Cassey Muir

Research Assistant

Background

I am a research assistant working on the FOrwaRD project; exploring diet and alcohol use among young adults, aged 18-25. I am currently designing and running co-design workshops to develop an intervention to support healthier eating and safer drinking among young adults. PI: Prof Ashley Adamson.

I am also working on a systematic review of the health, psychological, child substance use, educational and social impact of non-dependent parental substance misuse, upon children aged 0-18. PI: Dr Ruth McGovern.

Funded by the NIHR School for Public Health Research, I am also undergoing a PhD studentship. My project will involve co-producing an intervention to promote social and emotional resilience in children and young people affected by parental substance misuse. Supervised by Dr Ruth McGovern and Prof Eileen Kaner.
