Denise Heighton

Background

Since joining Newcastle University in October, 1979 Denise has worked in a variety of interesting roles.  Denise started in the Registrar's Office in the undergraduate examination, the become the Registrar's receptionist.  Denise left to look after her son in February, 1989 and returned in September, 1989 and joined the University Medical Centre.  Denise changed role and joined the then Centre for Health Services Research Unit in 1990, during this time CHSR become the School of Population & Health Sciences and then Institute of Health & Society.

Denise's remit covered a wide range of areas then, day-to-day finance processing, Health & Safety, Building Management/Estates, in September 2017, Denise's role change to IHS Estates Officer.
