Monitoring of Social Media Channels

Our Marketing and Publicity Team consults with services across the University to decide what posts to make and how best to answer queries.

The University’s Marketing and Publicity Team retains ultimate editorial control of the University’s official Facebook and Twitter pages.

We monitor accounts from 09.00 - 17.00, Monday to Friday. If you require an urgent response or a response outside of these times then please contact us

We aim to answer as many questions as possible, but we can't guarantee a response to everyone who makes a post - we believe this can stifle debate and prevent others from getting involved.

We'll only intervene in debates to:

  • correct factual inaccuracies
  • provide further information
  • promote other ways to comment
