About the course:
This module provides an introduction to academic writing in English for postgraduates in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences. It takes a style/genre approach and supports two module assignments by:
- looking at the academic writing process from start to finish
- focussing on aspects such as academic writing, using sources, report writing and essay writing
The materials were written to help students gain a greater understanding of academic writing style as a core running through a number of academic writing genres.
