About the course:

These sessions focus primarily on the content and structure of a typical Master's dissertation. The session is divided into four parts:

Part one:

  • looks at the reasons why students are required to write a detailed research proposal.

Parts two, three and four:

  • examine the introduction
  • literature review and methodology sections (which form the core content of these proposals in most schools)
  • look at concepts such as identifying and occupying a research gap, criticality in the literature review and justifying the proposed research methods are explored in detail
